Marketing, creative and dev agencies

An agency CRM for new-business chats and the client threads that follow.

Your next client probably found you on Instagram or through a referral text, and once they sign they’ll keep messaging your account manager directly. inChat is designed to hold both: the deal and the relationship.

inChat is in early access. Features shown are in development.

The problem

New business arrives in DMs, and client work stays there

A café owner DMs your studio after seeing a rebrand you posted. A past client texts the founder about a friend who needs a site. Those inquiries get answered between client calls, and the proposal goes out with no follow-up date. Then there’s the other half: signed clients message account managers on their personal WhatsApp, so when someone goes on vacation or leaves, the client relationship goes with them.

  1. 01

New business in DMs and texts

Inquiries are spread across the agency’s Instagram, the founder’s phone and a strategist’s WhatsApp. Nobody can say how many are open or who replied last.

  2. 02

    Proposals with no next step

The retainer proposal is sent, the prospect says “looks great, let me check with my partner”, and nobody owns the follow-up.

  3. 03

Client threads on one person’s phone

Feedback, approvals and “quick changes” arrive on an account manager’s personal number, so the rest of the team works with half the context.

The workflow

From DM to signed retainer, and the account after

How an agency would run new business and client conversations in inChat as it’s designed. The product is in development and offered through early access.

  1. Inquiry comes in and gets an owner

DMs and texts to the agency route to whoever runs new business, or by service line (brand, paid social, web), with one named owner.

  2. Qualify scope, budget and timing

Ask what they need, the budget range and the date that’s driving it. Save the answers as fields so the strategist sees them before the call.

  3. Book the discovery call

Use internal notes to line up the right strategist, then confirm the time in the thread and move the deal to “Discovery”.

  4. Send the proposal and own the follow-up

Mark the proposal as sent and set a follow-up reminder. If the prospect goes quiet for a few days, it comes back to the owner’s list.

  5. Hand the client to the account team

When the retainer is signed, the same contact and history move to the account manager. Client requests keep arriving in a shared inbox, so a teammate can cover when needed.

The scenario

A referral DM about a retainer. The DM didn’t sit in the studio’s Instagram app until someone checked. It has an owner, the budget and deadline are on the record, and the strategist knows why the call matters before it starts.

How inChat helps

What inChat won’t do for an agency
  • inChat isn’t a project management, time tracking or invoicing tool, and it has no integrations with the ones you use.
  • It manages your agency’s own conversations. If you want to set up inChat for your clients’ customer messaging as an implementer, tell us. That setup isn’t confirmed.
  • Instagram DMs are planned for right after launch. At launch the channels are WhatsApp and US SMS.
FAQ

Agencies: your questions.

What inChat is designed to do for agencies, and what’s still being decided.

Ask us something else

Yes, that’s the intent. A prospect and a client are the same contact at different stages, so the record and history carry over when a deal is signed. Inbox, contacts and pipeline are in development as part of the launch scope.

Instagram DMs come next after launch, not at launch. WhatsApp and US SMS are the launch channels and are in development now. If Instagram is your main source, tell us when you request early access.

No. inChat covers conversations, contacts and the sales pipeline. Tasks, timelines and deliverables stay where they are now, and there are no integrations between the two today.

Agencies that set up messaging for clients are a group we want to hear from, but multi-client management isn’t a confirmed feature. Tell us how you’d use it when you request early access.

Pricing isn’t published yet for anyone. inChat is pre-launch and in early access, so you can request details on the pricing page.
