You run the business from your phone. Your team shouldn’t have to.
Customers text the owner, the crew lead and the office. Quotes live in a spreadsheet nobody updates. inChat is being built for small teams like this: one inbox for SMS and WhatsApp, an owner on every conversation, and a simple list of jobs in progress.
inChat is in early access. Features shown are in development.
The owner is the CRM
In a small business, the owner usually holds everything: which customers are waiting, who quoted what, which job starts Monday. It works until the owner is on a job site, sick or on vacation. Then customers wait, staff guess and the spreadsheet is two weeks behind.

Customer texts are spread across phones
Some customers text the owner, some the office, some a crew lead. Nobody sees the whole picture, and the owner gets interrupted all day to answer “did anyone reply to Mrs. Lee?”
- 02
The spreadsheet is always behind
Quotes and jobs are tracked in a spreadsheet that gets updated on Sunday night. During the week, it’s wrong, so nobody trusts it.
- 03
Big CRMs are too much
You tried a traditional CRM. It needed setup, training and data entry, and it didn’t include the text messages where the actual work happens. It was abandoned in a month.
What a first week could look like
inChat is meant to be set up by the owner without a consultant. Here’s the order we suggest. Exact setup steps will be confirmed during early access.
Connect your business numbers
Connect a business SMS number and a WhatsApp number. SMS business texting requires A2P 10DLC registration and WhatsApp requires a WhatsApp Business Platform account; both take some setup time, so start early.
Add your team and decide who owns what
Invite your few teammates. Agree on a simple rule: the office claims new inquiries; crew leads own their active jobs.
Bring over your current customers, carefully
Clean up your spreadsheet first: remove duplicates, fix phone number formats and pick the columns you actually use. There’s no one-click importer to promise, so focus on clean data and the customers you’re actively working with.
Set up a short pipeline
Three to five stages is enough: New, Quoted, Scheduled, Done. You can add fields later.
Tell customers the new number
Text your active customers from your personal phone with the business number. Put it on your website, truck, invoices and Google profile.
A six-person cleaning company on a busy Monday. The owner never got pulled in. Bree rescheduled with the crew through a note, and the customer’s SMS and WhatsApp messages sit on one record.

- There are no integrations with accounting, scheduling or payment tools, and none are scheduled. You’d keep using those alongside inChat.
- Channel registration (A2P 10DLC for SMS, WhatsApp Business Platform for WhatsApp) takes some time and paperwork, outside inChat’s control.
- There’s no verified data import tool yet; plan to prepare a clean CSV of active customers.
Small business: your questions.
What inChat is designed to do for small business, and what’s still being decided.
Ask us something elseIt’s designed for small teams. If two or more people answer customer messages, a shared inbox with clear ownership usually helps. If you’re solo and happy with your phone, you may not need it yet.
The goal is that an owner can set it up. Channel registration for SMS and WhatsApp involves forms and approvals; we’ll guide early access teams through it.
We recommend moving customers to a business number so the history belongs to the company. How existing numbers can be brought in depends on the channel and provider; ask during early access.
No. Third-party integrations aren’t available or scheduled. Small teams have asked for them, and we’re tracking those requests.
Pricing isn’t published yet. You can request details on the pricing page or request early access.
