A travel and hospitality CRM for trip inquiries that arrive on WhatsApp.
International travelers plan on WhatsApp, often while you’re asleep. inChat is designed so every trip inquiry has an owner, every quote has a follow-up date and every itinerary change lives on the booking it belongs to.
inChat is in early access. Features shown are in development.
Trips are sold in long, slow threads across time zones
A family in São Paulo asks about a private five-day tour at 6 AM your time. A couple in Madrid wants to move their boutique hotel stay by two nights. A planner needs a quote for a group of twelve. These threads run for weeks: questions, a quote, silence, a date change, a deposit. When they live in one coordinator’s WhatsApp, quotes expire unnoticed and changes get lost between the traveler and the person who books the guide.
- 01
Quotes sent into silence
Travelers compare several operators. If nobody follows up before the quote hold expires, the trip goes to whoever checked in.
- 02
Time zones and handoffs
The traveler writes during your night. Whoever is on in the morning needs to see what was asked and promised without scrolling someone else’s phone.
- 03
Itinerary changes in the wrong thread
A date change, a dietary need, a different pickup time — each one gets mentioned in passing and has to reach the guide, the driver or the hotel.
From first question to wheels up
Here’s how a small travel team would work in inChat as it’s designed. The product is in development; bookings, payments and inventory stay in your existing systems.
Trip inquiry arrives, any hour
WhatsApp messages from abroad and texts from US travelers land in one inbox. A rule routes them by destination, trip type or language.
Capture what the quote needs
Dates, party size, private or group, pickup point, dietary and accessibility needs. Each one becomes a field on the booking record.
Price it and send the quote
Build the quote in your usual tool, then mark the deal “Quote sent” with the hold date. Internal notes connect the coordinator and whoever prices trips.
Follow up before the hold expires
A reminder brings the quote back to the owner before it lapses. On WhatsApp, a follow-up after 24 hours of silence needs an approved template.
Handle changes on the same record
Date changes, extra travelers and pickup updates arrive in the same thread and get noted on the booking, so ops staff see the latest version.
A private tour request from abroad. An inquiry that arrived before anyone was at work had an owner when the team logged in, the quote went out the same morning, and there’s a follow-up date well inside the hold. The vegetarian note is on the booking, where the guide will see it.
The parts of inChat that matter here.
Overnight inquiries with an owner by morning
Rules assign inquiries the moment they arrive, so the morning shift starts with a clear list of who answers what.
See conversation assignmentTrip details as fields
Dates, party size, pickup point and dietary needs live on the booking record instead of halfway up a three-week thread.
See custom fieldsQuote follow-ups with dates
Set a reminder when a quote goes out, timed before the hold expires. Response timers show threads waiting too long for a reply.
See lead managementSummaries of long threads
The AI assistant in development can summarize a long planning thread into the current itinerary and open questions. A person checks it before it’s saved.
See the AI assistant- Your booking engine, property management system, channel manager and payment tools stay as they are. inChat has no integrations with them.
- WhatsApp lets you reply freely within 24 hours of the traveler’s last message. After that, you need an approved template to restart the conversation.
- inChat’s SMS channel is US business texting (10DLC). For international travelers, WhatsApp is the practical channel.
- Message translation isn’t part of the confirmed scope. Plan for team members who speak your travelers’ languages.
Travel & hospitality: your questions.
What inChat is designed to do for travel & hospitality, and what’s still being decided.
Ask us something elseWhatsApp, through the WhatsApp Business Platform, is a launch channel and in development now, and it’s the natural fit for international travelers. US SMS is the other launch channel. Instagram DMs come next after launch.
No. Quotes, inventory and payments stay in your booking and payment tools. inChat tracks where each trip stands, such as “Quote sent” or “Deposit paid”, next to the conversation.
If a traveler hasn’t written in more than 24 hours, a WhatsApp follow-up must use a pre-approved template. inChat is designed to work within those rules; it can’t get around them.
If guests message you about availability, special requests and arrival details, yes. inChat isn’t a property management system, so reservations stay in yours; it keeps the guest conversations owned and on record.
