After the click

A link starts the chat. Your team has to finish it.

Click-to-chat links are great at starting conversations. The hard part comes next: who answers, how fast, and whether anyone follows up. That’s the problem inChat is being built to solve for teams.

WhatsApp CRM for teams
  • Add pre-filled text per campaign so you know which ad or page started the chat
  • Use your business number, not a personal one
  • Have a plan for after-hours messages
  • Reply first, then qualify. See our follow-up templates
FAQ

WhatsApp links, explained.

How click-to-chat links work and where to use them.

Ask us something else

WhatsApp supports links in the format https://wa.me/ followed by a phone number in international format, digits only. Opening the link starts a chat with that number in the WhatsApp app or WhatsApp Web. Adding ?text= pre-fills a message the customer can edit before sending.

No. The link is built in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to inChat or anyone else.

Yes. The link only works if the number is registered on WhatsApp (the app or the WhatsApp Business Platform).

On your website’s contact page, in email signatures, on social profiles, in QR codes on printed materials or in ads. Pre-filled text helps you see where a conversation came from, for example “Hi, I saw your spring offer”.
